Salsa Yeah!!!!`

Yummy! Doesn't that look good? Mary and I made salsa this week end. We are super excited. Our family lives on salsa and we can't wait every fall to get tomatoes and start making salsa. This year sadly we do not have our own garden and had to buy tomatoes and peppers at the farmers market which is way spendy, but nice. We also got tomatoes from a woman at church that kindly shared since she is sick of canning. Mary did all the chopping of peppers and onions. I stayed on the other side of the kitchen working on the tomatoes and unable to breath because the peppers were so strong. Our finished product was extra hot this year and super good.

Don't I look excited to be making salsa? I am soooo happy!
Mary and I together, working hard. Yes, I know I look bald, but my hair is all pulled bag and pinned. Also I have that nice high Patch forehead, and need bangs, but Chris really wants me to have no bangs, so for him I am trying something new.

Can you see all the garlic on the counter next to Mary? Mary is also the garlic girl. That is why she is wearing rubber gloves.

Cleaning up with the last batch in the water bath. We made 9 quarts and 7 pints. Not enough to get us through till next fall, but a start.

Looks fabulous girls! Aren't you lucky to have those big canning kettles! They last forever. I just used mine, as you know. It always feels good to see a counter full of canned produce, if I remember correctly. Ha!

It looks so good, probably too hot for this old lady, and it would not make the trip. I'll have to beg from kids closer by, you don't really have enough to share anyway. Love the photos, Mary looks more like you everyday. That pretty smile is so wonderful.

Hi, that salsa looks great! We also canned salsa this year, but not so hot. We like it mild, I guess our family doesn't have very strong stomachs. Take care.
