Kathryn is excited about winter and every time it snows she says "Is it Christmas now?"
Here she is after our first snowfall.
It was very cold outside, but Kathryn didn't seem to mind and stayed outside for almost an hour. It is very pretty here now that the brown ground and mountains are covered with beautiful white snow. Last night I worked till 10 pm and it snowed the whole time I was at work. Chris is gone right now and so I was worried about coming home and needing to shovel. Yes I have big, capable children, but they all said they wouldn't shovel, "well maybe if everyone else does I'll help" so obviously I wasn't expecting much. When I pulled in the drive at 10 it was shoveled as was my sidewalk and front steps. When I went inside and asked who I could thank for the awesome surprise the kids said our hometeacher(someone from church) had been over and brought cookies and shoveled everything. That was super nice and made me feel happy, I just wish my own lazy kids would get off there butts. They did make cookies while I was gone though and the kitchen was clean of all dirty dishes, and everyone was alive. (they didn't kill each other). So I need to be grateful for that, and I am. I'm also grateful for a thoughtful hometeacher.
