Once again I have posted backwards the last post should be first. After Chris and I hiked and drove around Spokane we forced the kids to go out for pizza. "Please can't we just order in the room and eat here and watch TV" No, we made them get off their butts and check out a little of Spokane. After we ate Kathryn caught sight of the giant red wagon and the carousel, so we went and visited both of those. It was cold and wet and so not nearly as fun or happy as it looks.(Insert whiny children here). When you are 3 and cute though, you always get your way.
Then we went back to the hotel and Mary babysat while Chris and I went on a date. For some reason when we said we were going on a date Kathryn started to cry and said "please don't go mom I want you to stay married to dad don't go with another man" We aren't sure where that came from but assured her that our date was with each other and she seemed satisfied. Thats what happens when kids that aren't used to watching cable TV watch it I guess. For our "date" we went to Cabela's and looked around. It was my idea actually, I love the big aquarium and I know Chris loves to see all the fishing stuff and look at guns. It was fun.
Sweet Mary was the only one willing to go on the merry go round with Kathryn. Much to Mary's surprise and happiness they picked a perch that didn't go up and down, just round and round.
We got caught in the freezing rain.
Did you know that Spokane has a giant Radio Flyer wagon? Pretty cool and you can slide down the handle! Kathryn and Jack loved it. (Mary is humoring us, thanks Mare)
