So I am in Virginia Beach with my roommate Lauren, and my grandma Marcie.
Apparently, this is my grandpa's house, too, but he's been in Seattle and New York on business, and I haven't seen a lot of him.
I do not yet have a job, although Lauren and I have applied at literally dozens of places.
Thanks to catch-22, you cannot work at a restaurant without experience, and here is the catch: you cannot get experience at a restaurant without working at one.
Bah humbug.
We've turned to other markets.
But until then, we enjoy spending our time on bike rides, and down at the beach.
see the cute bikes that we get to ride?
See the trees? It's completely magical here. The woods are filled with mysteries, and this is the first place in America that Europeans lived. Cool, right?
also, we spend time watching the OC.
Too bad its been raining all day every day, or we could spend more time outside. Turns out, Grandma doesn't like it when we spend all our time out in the rain.
Or when we spend all of it lying on the couch. (after, of course, spending the morning job-hunting)
Did I mention I bought a book?
The Invisible Man, by Ralph Ellison: a must read.
That is all for now, love you!

hmmmm, dare I comment?
Don't buy any books, grandma has a million. FYI, there are even some in boxes in the office closet. That is what grandma chose not to say. The bikes look cute, I thought my Dad told me he was going to sell them on craigslist when I left last year. thanks for posting.
