The past 7 days

I always have big plans in my head of great posts to write with lots of pictures.  Since that hasn't happened I'll fill you in on the last week.
Chris turned 40, shhhh  he doesn't want anyone to know. (I still think he is the cutest boy I've ever met, and immature enough to fool anyone into believing he is younger, I mean fun enough!)
Renn and Keira came to visit Memorial weekend.  We went geo caching and Renn almost broke his arm playing on Jack's ripstick.
Jack played too hard and didn't elevate his leg enough and blood pooled under the wound turning his lovely pinkish purple wound an ugly dark color, we were freaked out!
We had a lovely Memorial Day BBQ with friends from church.
The crab apple tree in our front yard flowered a beautiful pink and all the bees came out to work.  When you stand under the tree it sounds like it is going to lift off, with all the buzzing.  We could also see lots of little worker bees loaded down with pollen collected all over their legs, it was awesome.
Kids at school in the lunch line fell on Jack's leg and he got to come home early, again, he is fine.  Today he is at 11 year old scout day camp.  Hopefully he is elevating that darn leg once in awhile.
Chris planted all our veggies in the garden, covered them with plastic and the next day they had all frozen.  Blast this Montana weather it is so confusing.  Today I replanted and hopefully it is warmer now.
Chris also started to build a green house to protect our plants from the Montana weather the day after the freeze because he was so annoyed!
Kathryn missed school all week because she has hand, foot, mouth virus.  She was totally wiped out, and slept and watched movies all day.
Mary got her top wisdom teeth out and is doing awesome and has minimal pain.
Mary graduated from seminary and she gets to sleep in now!
We found a blue bird egg in the yard that isn't cracked.  It is Kathryn's new pet and she has big plans of feeding and caring for a little bird that will never hatch.  She said "it is super fun to watch eggs hatch mom"  She is very gentle and carries it around in a little bucket with a shredded paper nest in it.

OK, the egg didn't make it. Kathryn made a blanket nest and sat on the egg, you can imagine the results. She was relived to see there was not a baby bird inside.

That made me tired.
Happy birthday Chris. It's not that bad to be in the next decade.
We have had a lot of honey bees too. And big huge bumblebees.

Oh you didn't tell me K had HFM. Poor baby! And yet she was able to care for a little egg and even try to hatch it. What a girl! I hope Jack is taking care of himself. That boy worries me. He needs to take it easy! Happy Birthday to Chris. 40 sounds so old when you haven't been there yet, but when it has come and gone it sounds sooo young! We are having fun with Becky. She is a doll and a joy to be around!
