We got up and had homemade waffles. These are waffles made from Papa Rod's dangerous non-UL listed 30+ year old waffle maker. No cool-touch exterior here; in fact, think Arrested Development Corn Baller. The benefit of that danger is a waffle maker that actually gets hot enough to make waffles they way they should be, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
Then we played and colored for a couple of hours until we met Mom for lunch at our favorite restaurant, Cioa Mambas. After Mom went back to work, Kathryn and Dad went to Currents and swam for a few hours. Then, home for a quick snack and change before picking up Kathryn's friend and going to a night of fun and frivolity at Mismos Gymnastics until 9:30. All in all a pretty good day for a pretty great kid.
This dress was a present from sister Mary last year. It finally fits! |

Doesn't Kathryn look old? She looks so tall and skinny in these pictures. She is losing her little baby face. It makes me sad. She sure is a sweet girl.
Sounds like her Dad showed her a great time on her birthday! Happy BD Kathryn!
