Christmas Time in Missoula

Jack, Kathryn, and Dad spent a Saturday enjoying Missoula's Family Day downtown. After a day of making cookings and s'mores and seeing (the perhaps homeless?) Santa, we picked up Mom and went to the Parade of Lights and the lighting of the giant Christmas tree downtown. There were thousands of people, a bonfire by Boyscouts, a children's choir singing Christmas carols.  It sounds like a Norman Rockwell painting when I write about it, although close-up it wasn't as nice. Maybe because of the anemic lighting job on the ol' community Tannebaum.

S'mores!

Starry the Pony.
Available for petting, because who would ever want to RIDE a pony when you could pet one?

Um' where is the disinfectant?

Thank you Bernice's Bakery for free Christmas cookie decorating! Bernice's is so cool. It is like a movie representation of a bakery. You can almost justify the $4 cupcakes.

Roasting marshmallows at the carousel.
Jack is hiding his big, happy-to-be-with-his-family smile behind some hot chocolate! Such a sweet boy. Hot chocolate = LAVA!!!!!

These dancing presents were real nice! Who doesn't love presents?

The classic Christmas Parade Menorah!

Here comes the Polar Express!

Jack and Kathryn were having an argument earlier in the day about whether Mrs. Klaus goes on trips in the sleigh with Santa. I guess she does when its a cherry red Camero convertible. Santa my have bedbug bites, but he rides in style.

Poor Santa is taking the hits in this post. How great that Missoula provides these activities for families. Looks like lots of fun. The Menorah is a nice touch that you don't often see.
