Ta-Dah!

well, not to brag or anything (and it really ISN'T bragging, what with all the seamstresses in the family), but last night I made myself a skirt! I didn't use a pattern or anything, just whipped it up out of half a skirt that I'd started over a year ago. I saw the fabric hanging behind my door and decided I'd like a new skirt to wear on sunday.
I'm pretty darn impressed, so I thought I'd share:

hmm, i'm a little put out that the quality is so poor, I just took these pictures with the camera built into my computer...
so, i gave it a little bow on the front, it has several purposes, one: to help hide the zipper in the back, two: to make it more high-waisted, because it's a little too big and it holds it up, three: well, i just think it's cute...

sadly the lighting is really bad, but here's the whole thing... and I just realized, you can see the back too, if you look at it's reflection! haha
