Hare Krishna

About 10 minutes from my apartment in Provo there is a beautiful Hindu Temple. Lana, Lauren, and Patrick, and I decided to go visit it and have a tour. We were not allowed to wear shoes. We were allowed to take pictures.
Luckily for me I was accompanied by several intelligent people including a Middle Eastern Studies Major. They knew all the right questions to ask and I learned a lot about the religion. It is a very beautiful religion, and they have many of the same ideas as us, if they added Jesus and had a prophet to properly explain the Plan of Salvation, we'd just call them Mormons.
haha, just kidding. Anyways, it was very beautiful, so I decided you needed a few pictures.

This is the only Rajasthani style temple in North America, i think, though there are hundreds of Hindu temples here.

There were parrots EVERYWHERE! It was really cool, because most of them spoke, though usually only a few words, or sounds.

This was probably rude, but the people around us were all doing Yoga. This is kind of like yoga. Also, as a side note, please look at the scar on my foot, that was supposed to go away after about 6 months... it was pretty much 6 months to the day since my surgery when we went to the temple.

I LOVED all the pillars and arches. the Indians really have it down.

Utah is really beautiful right now too, this is all so close to me. I do love the mountains now.

and this is a video that I love of my friend Patrick and a parrot. it's actually pretty good. I promise.
