White Coat Ceremony August 22, 2008

This picture is taken in the Skaggs Pharmacy Building where all Chris's classes will be held.
We took our own picture just like the kids do.
Chris's pharmacy class 65 students.  Approximately 25 are men.

Chris had a White coat ceremony yesterday, all the pharmacy students in his graduating class had orientation and then a ceremony for families.  They had to put on their white coat and say the pharmacy pledge.  It wasn't as cool as it sounds, but I felt really excited.  Finally something is happening and we are on our way!!  Class officially starts on Monday for Chris.  Most of the students had parents there taking pictures, and a few had spouses.  Chris is not the oldest though, there is at least one person that is 42 and several others around that age and one man that wouldn't say his age so I bet he is the oldest, but he already has a PHD and is changing careers because he is bored I guess.   I met a few of Chris's instructors and another couple from our ward, the husband is in the program.  They are maybe 10 years younger then us.  Since we have a daughter in her 2nd year at the Y they must think we are ancient though.  The woman said "you don't look old enough to have a daughter in college"  I said Thanks and she said "I hope that when I'm as old as you I look that good!"  what a compliment, it made me laugh though.  When we got home we took Jack to see The Mummy for his 11th birthday, crazy he is that old already.  The movie was super cheesy, but Jet Li was in it and he fought Michelle Yeoh so it was worth going to.  Chris and Jack took the canoe somewhere today to go do some fishing.  They also took burgers and the little grill so they can eat out in the woods and come home late.  Yeah for father/son bonding time!  Mary and Kathryn and I went to Dillard's and Herberger's  Yeah for girl time!!

Wow, really cute picture of you and Chris! Lucky you look so good for your age because it looks like Chris will be surrounded by younger women.

Wow, an actual 'Polly Post'!! Sounds like things are going great for you guys! How fun for Chris that he get to go back to school. And how fun for you to start a new adventure in MONTANA!! You'll have to post lots of pics, I've always wanted to go there, but haven't been able to yet, maybe someday. Good luck to all!!

Oh, I'm ready to come back, now with the new "toy" the ride would be more fun. I am so proud of what you are doing, not just Chris, but Polly and family too. Big changes and everyone is willing to go with it and support him. Love you all. Mom
