Update

Sorry I haven't posted since I said Jack was having a hard time.  He is doing great now.  The sun is out and we have been too.  Enjoying the sun and playing and working outside.  We have started a garden which I am super psyched about.  Jack has been sitting outside reading The Hobbit or playing in the grass with the neighbors new puppy.  Jack's leg seems to be healing quickly, don't get me wrong, it looks disgusting and is very tender, but doing great.  Jack has been doing his wound care himself which is awesome.  I just check on him at different stages of the process to make sure he is doing it right and he always is.  He is much more content handling it himself as it is painful to clean and he can apply as much or little pressure as he sees fit.  His wound looks like he has goose bumps, it is actually new skin forming as granulation tissue buds that flower open and connect at some point.  Quite fascinating to watch.  I'm glad it isn't my leg.  Stephanie said today she would be very surprised if the doctor decided to do skin grafting because it looks so awesome!  Tomorrow we see the doctor for the first time since the debriding.   Later....

Polly..I had no idea about Jack! Kim told me today what happened. I am horrible at checking blogs. I am glad to hear that he is doing better, poor guy! He seems to have good spirits about it. We are excited to see you in June for a grad party, yeah! Good Job Mary!
